Our Surmi Slate Planters are ideally suited as presentation pieces for use within your garden or outside space.

Crafted from beautiful natural slate, the planters feature a large planting area and a rustic, textured finish with organic shades of green, grey and iridescent copper to complement any planting design.

Each individual planter will display its own natural finish with hues of greys, copper and silver and are pre-drilled for external use to ensure that your plants are never over watered.

The set of 3 planters consists of one of each of the following size and includes a 10% discount off purchasing the planters individually:

Each planter can also be purchased individually or in sets of 2 of the same size.

All of our slate planters are easy to clean and maintain and are frost and weather resistant.

Please Note: Every piece is unique – no two are the same. Our slate box planters and troughs are made from 100% natural stone. Variations in colour, tone, veining, and texture are part of their beauty – these are not faults.

Your order will be a kerbside delivery and will arrive on a pallet with a 3^rd party pallet network service which is explained in the delivery criteria link below:

Delivery Criteria

Your order will not be packed for outside storage, please remove any documentation and electrical components (if supplied with your order) which require dry storage.

Heavier stone items will be packaged in a heavy duty, wooden crate which will require a steel leverage bar to open them.

Delivery lead times are usually within 5-7 working days from time of order however this can be extended during particularly busy periods.

If you would like to expedite your delivery, please leave a comment to this effect in the notes section when you check out and we will try our best to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Please note, some of our water features are part assembled prior to dispatch, this will increase the lead time to 7-14 working days.

Please Note: Slate is a product of nature and as such, there will be variations in colour, texture and patina. These features are part of the natural beauty of stone, and ensure that each piece is completely unique.

• For Pairs – We will ensure they work well together, but exact colour matching (especially copper tones) is not guaranteed or offered.
• Online orders – Single items are picked at random from stock. We will not open multiple heavy crates to select colours.
• Copper tones are rare and cannot be requested when ordering online. • If you want to hand-pick your colour/tone, please visit our showroom selection area.

Slate is a metamorphic rock with a fine grain, it has the unique ability to be split accurately into straight slabs and plates. The split sheets each display unique texture and colouration, though always with a predominantly grey base. Slate varies in colour depending on where it is mined as the individual composition of the rock varies between localities.Slate is particularly suitable for use as a planter as it has an extremely low water absorption index, meaning that it is resistant to frost damage. It is incredibly durable and will last for hundreds of years, a Foras slate planter is a planter for life. Your Foras Surmi Slate Product will be pre-drilled for water drainage.
