Surmi 22cm Slate Vase

Made from natural slate the Surmi 22 Rectangle is ideally suited as a presentation piece for use within your home or garden.

At 22cm high it’s perfect to show off a bouquet or use as a centrepiece at a dinner party.

Available for use internally and externally, the internal versions are not drilled for drainage.

Each piece contains raw shades of green and grey which complement any planting design.

Slate is a metamorphic rock with a fine grain, it has the unique ability to be split accurately into straight slabs and plates.

The split sheets each display unique texture and colouration, though always with a predominantly grey base.

Slate varies in colour depending on where it is mined as the individual composition of the rock varies between localities.

Slate is particularly suitable for use as a planter as it has an extremely low water absorption index, meaning that it is resistant to frost damage.

It is incredibly durable and will last for hundreds of years, a Foras slate planter is a planter for life.
