Office and House Caretaker
An award-winning family Garden accessory, Flooring, and Tiling company. Specialising in designing and importing exclusive flagstones, tiles, and garden accessories such as water features, planters, birdbaths, and sculptures.
A hardworking individual that enjoys hard physical work, cleaning, and organisation. Predominately working alone, you will still be an essential part of our friendly team. Each day will be different, and tasks will be varied, you must be flexible in your attitude and in supporting a smaller business’s needs.
In the middle of the Fenland countryside sits a business that specialises in products for the home and garden. The offices are based on a farm with the adjoining house and grounds as part of the representation/branding of the business.
Hours of Work (flexible)
Minimum hours: 12 hours per week.
Maximum hours: 30 hours per week.
Holiday entitlement 21 day including Bank Holidays (pro-rota).
Rate: £10.00 + per hour (dependant upon experience).
Note: Rarely you may have to work a Saturday for which you will get a day off in lieu. If you work a Bank Holiday, you will have an extra day of annual leave allocated to you.
Days of Work
Monday – Friday (mainly). Occasional weekend work required when events are taking place.
Start time from 7.00am onwards to clean the main offices and showrooms before the sales staff arrive at 8.30am. A minimum of two hours cleaning will be required in the office daily.
Clean all areas of the house and maintain them daily. Making and preparing of lunches for 2 directors and occasionally their guests. Office and house washing (including Ironing). Supporting and planning general running and organisation of the household, including driving children to school (ages 13/17). Car is provided for this however a full clean driver’s licence is required for insurance purposes. It is a high-performance car so with under 30’s it may not be possible to insure them. If they are a very good candidate there may be a way around this (they don’t do the school run or we may in the future be getting a more suitable car).
A full list of roles and responsibilities will be given. The second interview may include a cleaning trial (paid). There will be a probationary period of 3 months.
