Foras After Dark | FAQ’s

GENERAL QUESTIONS

How many events are there? We are running FOUR Foras After Dark Events. The dates are October 11th, October 18th, November 1st and November 8th.

What time are the events? Our four events are all running 5pm – 8pm.

Where are the events? At our Stowbridge Showrooms & Gardens, PE34 3NJ.

What can I expect at the events? We are being joined by HortiCo Nursery and Garden Emporium who will be sharing their knowledge on all aspects of Winter Planting during the whole event.

As well as this, Katie will be joining us from Wild Oak Workshops and will be running a Seasonal Decoration Workshop which is available to book tickets for. There are limited spaces available, but you can enter our draw to WIN a space by RSVP’ing prior to the events.

You can also meet the makers of our Handmade range including our own in-house engraver Lewis, and Linda who is the crochet artist behind our range of Handmade Designer Handbags.

Can I purchase products at the event? Of course! As well as our core range, our Outlet end-of-line planters and garden accessories are available for purchase with up to 50% off. PLUS, if you RSVP prior to any of the events, you will receive an EXTRA 10% off all Outlet lines, meaning up to 60% off!

We will also have a limited selection of Handmade Bags, Signature Drinks and after purchasing your Outlet Planter, you can purchase the plants from the HortiCo stand.

Will the gardens be open? Absolutely! Our show gardens will be open for you to browse our range of water features, sculptures, planters and accessories. The garden will be illuminated by our festoon lights and the water features will be illuminated and running for you to enjoy.

Is it weather-permitting? No, our Foras After Dark event will be mainly set up inside so there is little risk of cancellation due to the weather.

Will there be FOOD and Drink? Yes, treat yourself to some delicious freshly cooked, wood fired pizza and drinks from our friends over at Mally’s. Offering exclusive toppings just for our visitors at  Foras After Dark!

Alongside Mally’s standard delicious menu you will be able to purchase exclusive flavours and toppings including;

Apple Crumble Delight – Apple crumble topped pizza on a custard base topped with a warm caramel sauce.

Limited Edition Foras After Dark Pizza –  Nduja Sausage on a Pumpkin base, with basil, pecorino, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese.

Enjoy a special edition Pumpkin Spiced Latter or cosy up by the fire with a Gingerbread Latte for the October dates, and for November they will be introducing delicious Chocolate Orange, or Blackforest Hot Chocolate.

Over 18’s will also be able purchase our new Signature drinks at the Foras bar!

Are products discounted for the event? An extra 10% off will be available on our Outlet Range if you RSVP prior to the event.

 

PRIVILEGE GOLD CARD

What is the Privilege Gold Card? At Foras we reward loyalty, guiding our customers on their journey to enhance their homes and gardens. The Privilege Gold Card entitles you to immediate discounts off purchases, and exclusive access to offers.

How do I get a Privilege Gold Card? To become a Privilege Gold Card Member, all you need to do is purchase from our Foras Handmade Range. The range includes Crocheted Designer Bags, Foras Signature Drinks, Sculptural Steel Display Brackets and a selection of Engraved items.

What happens if I purchase from the Handmade range online? When you purchase from the Handmade range online, you will receive your Privilege Gold Card automatically in your basket. Your membership number will be allocated to you and you will receive an email with your Digital Card. When you activate your membership we will ask if you want to receive a card in the post. This will be delivered via Royal Mail within 5-7 working days. If you have not received your card within this time frame please email [email protected].

What offers can I get on the Privilege Gold Card? Offers will change throughout the year. The current offer is that you will receive 20% OFF the majority of full priced Foras Home & Garden Accessories with unlimited purchases up until the 31st May 2024.

Are Tiles and Flagstones discounted with my Foras Privilege Gold Card? Not currently, however offers will change throughout the year and you will be notified of all promotions via email.

Can I use my Foras Privilege Gold Card in conjunction with any other offers? The only offer that can be used in conjunction with your Foras Privilege Gold Card is free delivery on qualifying orders over £100.00, it cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers.

Can I only get the Privilege Gold Card at one of the Foras After Dark events? No, you will receive a Privilege Gold Card on all purchases made from our Handmade range. This includes online purchases.

How do I activate my Privilege Gold Card? After receiving your Privilege Gold Card membership number, you will need to activate it here www.foras.co.uk/activate.  Your card can then be used immediately in store, please allow 1-2 days after activation before you use it online.

How do I use my Privilege Gold Card online? You must allow 1-2 working days after you have activated your card, then simply enter your unique membership number during checkout on the website in the ‘Voucher Code’ box to unlock your 20% discount.

Where can my discounted Foras Privilege Gold Card purchases be delivered to? All discounted Foras Privilege Gold Card purchases can only be delivered to the address linked to the membership number on the Foras Privilege Gold Card.

Is my Foras Privilege Gold Card membership number transferrable? Your Foras Privilege Gold Card membership number is unique to you and is not transferrable to family and friends. They will need to qualify for a Foras Privilege Gold Card by purchasing from the Handmade range themselves.

What happens if I lose my Foras Privilege Gold Card? Your membership number will remain valid however there will be a charge to replace your physical Foras Privilege Gold Card.
Foras reserves the right to amend / withdraw / cancel any promotional Foras Privilege Gold Card offer at their discretion. The Foras Privilege Gold Card remains the property of Foras Ltd and can be revoked at any time.

Can I own more than one privilege card? Unfortunately not, Privilege Gold Cards are limited to ONE per person, no matter how many qualifying purchases you make.

Can I change my mind and ask for a physical card once I have requested a digital only? Unfortunately not, once you have requested a digital only you cannot then request a physical card. If you are unsure, we recommend requesting both physical and digital at the checkout.

HORTICO WINTER PLANTING

What will HortiCo be doing at Foras After Dark? We are being joined by HortiCo Nursery and Garden Emporium who will be sharing their knowledge on all aspects of winter planting.

Purchase selected Foras planters or troughs, then head over to HortiCo where you can purchase a pre-selected range of winter blooms and have them planted whilst you wait free of charge.

Do I have to book an appointment to have my planter potted by HortiCo? No, you don’t need to book an appointment to purchase the plants and have your planter potted by the team. Please be aware that the event may be busy so waiting times may vary.

How much will it cost? If you have pre-ordered your planter on the website then the price remains the same. If you are purchasing on the day the cost of having it potted varies (not by much) depending on the type of planter, and stock/availability of plants. Prices start from £15.50.

Can I buy them online? Yes, you can pre-order a Pre-Potted Planter which you can collect on one of the event dates. Make your purchase on our website then contact us afterwards to organise a click and collect date. Alternatively you can add a note at checkout on the specific date you want to collect your planter on.

Can I get my pre-planted winter planter delivered? Due to the delicate and sensitive nature of the pre-potted planter, we offer click and collect only at one of our Foras After Dark Events.

What are the collection dates? We ask for you to click and collect from one of our Foras After Dark Events. Open 5pm – 8pm on 11th October/ 18th October / 1st November / 8th November.  

What if I can’t make the events? We ask for you to click and collect from one of the Foras After Dark events, however if you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances then we will hold your pre-potted planter for a maximum of 3 working days.

How long will it take to have my planter potted? Times will vary depending on how busy the HortiCo team are.

Can I choose the plants in my planter? No, the plants used in your planter will be the same as the planters on display. However they may vary slightly due to stock/availability.

How do I care for my planter? You can find out from the HortiCo team how to care for your planter, or find out more on our website.

Will my planter be drilled? No, your pre-potted Winter planter will not be drilled for drainage, allowing you to site your planter indoors when required, see the technical information tab for more information on caring for your planted planter.

Drilling your planters for drainage at home is simple with a standard drill bit however when drilled, the galvanisation of the planters will be disrupted and this can speed up the oxidisation process.

Is it for outdoors or indoors? Your pre-potted Winter planter is suitable for indoor use although the plants prefer an outdoor environment. If you wish to use your planter outdoors then we recommend drilling your planter for drainage which is simple to do at home with a standard drill bit.

WILDOAK WORKSHOPS

Do I have to book tickets? You have to book tickets if you want to take part in the workshop with Katie, and create a seasonal decoration to take away with you. Observers are welcome and it will be available to watch from passers by without booking a ticket. Book your tickets here.

How long does the workshop take? The workshop will run for approximately 30 minutes.

What time does the workshop start? The workshop runs from 6:30pm however Foras After Dark will be open from 5pm.

Where can I book tickets? You can book tickets on our website here. Once you have selected your date and quantity of tickets, enter your details and Katie will be in touch to take payment.

How much are tickets? Tickets are £40 per person and include all you will need to create a beautiful seasonal decoration for you to take home.

How many spaces are available? There are 5 spaces available to book on Katie’s Wild Oak Workshops, but we will be giving away 1 space per Workshop as a prize giveaway for anyone who enters the prize draw.

Do I get to take it home? Yes! You get to take your completed Seasonal Decoration home to enjoy throughout the autumn winter months.

Do I have to bring anything? No, there is no need to bring anything with you.

Is everything provided? Yes, Katie will be supplying freshly foraged natural materials for you to construct your seasonal decoration.

Can I purchase handbags at the event? Yes, our exclusive Foras Crochet Designer Bags are available to purchase. Limited stock is available, however we will be taking pre-orders on the night if you are happy to wait from 7-10 working days for your bag to be made.

What colours are available? The Tavistock Tote Style is available in Salt, Tuscan, and Chestnut. The Chelsea Satchel is available in Clay, Birch, and Olive.

Can I have them delivered? Yes, delivery fee is £9.95 for orders under £100.

Do I have to pre-order? Stock is limited so you may have to pre-order.

What material are they made out of? Crafted from eco-friendly, recycled braided cord, each bag is uniquely made using a single crochet technique through the back loop only, adding a distinct touch of craftsmanship to every piece.

How do I care for/wash my bag? The bags are handwash only, and should be kept away from anything that may cause staining or plucking.

Does my bag have warranty? Foras Designer bags carry a 2 year warranty for manufacturer defect only. This is a handmade product, snags in stitching or stains are not valid for warranty claims. Care and washing instructions are included, any evidence that this has not been adhered to will invalidate your warranty.

SIGNATURE DRINKS

Are gift boxes included? For our Gin, Vodka and Rouge a beautiful foiled box is included and your Bottle will be safely nestled inside when you receive it. For our Signature Chocolate Martini the Gift Tube includes an additional cost of £7.

Can I try the signature drinks at the event? Our indoor bar will be open to try our signature range of drinks.

Can I purchase the drinks at the event? The bar will be serving tasters of our new signature range of drinks, but you will also be able to purchase from our signature drinks menu, featuring Gin & Tonic and exclusive cocktails.

ENGRAVING

Can I take home an engraved piece? Unfortunately not on the day of the event. However you can submit an enquiry with our in-house engraver Lewis.

Will you personalise my water feature? If you are interested in owning a personalised water feature, we will happily engrave it, however we only offer this for water features prior to delivery due to the logistics of the stone.

What products can you engrave? We can engrave nearly all of our Foras Products including Water Features, Benches all the way to Pebbles. Unique to anywhere else in the UK we are the only retailer who imports stone and can engrave in-house.

Can I discuss options for engraving at the event? Yes, our in-house engraver Lewis will be at the event and can talk to you about our engraving options.
