Now, here’s where it gets interesting. We could have stopped at automotive resin and called it a day. But we’re natural material lovers at heart, and creating something truly sustainable felt essential.
Enter an unlikely hero: coconut husks.
In our terracotta pantile and bronze aged finishes, we’ve blended 20% natural coconut husk fibres with recycled resin content and high-grade automotive material to create something genuinely clever:
- It’s stronger. The fibres act like microscopic rebar, reinforcing the resin matrix
- It’s lighter. The natural fibres improve the strength-to-weight ratio
- It’s genuinely sustainable. Recycled resin reduces virgin plastic production, while coconut husks repurpose agricultural waste
